PPD
Anyone else have PPD? Medication started a week ago and doesn’t seem to be helping. How long does it normally take? I have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks. Just had hoped I would feel better.

Meds can take a few weeks to see results because you need to build up a consistent level in your bloodstream. I'm sorry you're struggling, hope you feel better quickly!
I have PPA, it takes about 2 weeks after finding the right dosage for the meds to work.
I don’t think I’m depressed but I sure am sad sometimes and my emotions are up and down

This is my second child after 9 years and I don’t remember being so sad
I don’t have PPD (at least I don’t think I do 👀) but I have been on mental health meds before and it’s suggested to give it at least a month so your body can fully adapt to them. 🙂

Hi there! I have PPD and PPA (a lovely mix haha) and when I started medication it took about 6 weeks. It needs time to build up in your system and start taking effect. “They” say it takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks to start taking effect. I’m so sorry you’re going through this and wish things worked faster!
