Birth Plan

As far as I know the music in theatre is only really if you have a planned section. I had an emergency section with my first and music wasn’t even an option. The focus was on getting me down there and getting my baby out. I’m having a planned section this time and music has never been mentioned x

Yeah I meant if it ended up being planned 🤣 can’t imagine hearing music would be soothing during an emergency c section

Yeh I’m having a planned this time and they’ve not mentioned anything about music 😅 I think you can have it if you request it but if you don’t then they won’t

It wasn’t mentioned when I had my planned section previously. When I got into theatre they did have the radio playing Christmas songs - they asked me if that was ok so I guess at that point I could have said no! To be honest I didn’t really notice the music with everything going on!

I would put down anything you have a preference on, whether it’s for the medical staff or for your birthing partner to refer to as you will be preoccupied 😅 however, be open to things having to change or not being quite right. Music is something that usually you have to request, and sometimes you would have to bring your own speaker in. I went for emergency section, but my partner forgot to take the speaker into surgery 😅

I had emergency c section, and we had a nice chat with everyone there. Listened to pink floyd as my husband was just choosing something randomly😆 was a great vibe, even though it was emergency c section. We never mentioned music beforehand, they just asked once we got in there. It was much more relaxing than it sounds on paper!
