I’ve used Aptamil with my younger 4 and sma for my older 2
I have the same issue. My LG has been on Kendamil for 5 months and I had to travel 40 miles to hunt for it and still couldn’t get it. I got fed up and have switched to Aptamil this week. The first time I gave it to her she had a melt down because she didn’t like it. She got so hysterical from the crying she passed out and slept for 2 hours therefore she didn’t have a feed. Now I’m having to mix the formulas together and slowly increase the amount of Aptamil. This is how I got her onto formula during breastfeeding so fingers crossed I can get her to like it before I run out of Kendamil
@Sylvia hope it goes well. We switched to sma for a bit but she seemed to get constipated. The shops seem to be stocked for now with kendamil locally, so we have gone back but it stresses me to think how long will it be in stock this time!
@Lucy unfortunately the switch was unsuccessful for my LG. Every feed became an issue and so I went and ordered some online and get some in Tesco. As soon as I put her back on pure Kendamil I’ve not had any issues. So fingers crossed that there is now an improvement of stock
we’ve started using bonya which is made by kendamil cos tesco always seems to have that in stock and we thought the switch would be easier and we’ve had no issues at all. tbh all the formulas have to meet the same standards and it’s safe to switch between any of them! we were using aptamil when he was newborn then switched to kendamil and had no issues with that - he didn’t get on with the aldi one but we didn’t do a gradual changeover so that might have helped
