Just seeking a bit of advice!

We have been trying to conceive a baby nr 2 for the last 6 months, but no luck... I'm starting to think that my weight and age might have something to do with it (116kg, 37 y).. I'm thinking, maybe I should pause TTC for half a year and try Mounjaro injections to lose a bit of weight, not sure how long I will have to wait after stopping the injections to make sure it's all out of my system or shall I keep trying TTC and include some exercise? We desperately want to give a sibling to our little one....

Have you had a full hormone panel done? Your age means it could harder than anything and will take longer. Just because your over weight doesn't make you unhealthy. I'm a bigger girl (105kg) and almost 44, just on my ttw and things so far are looking good. It can take 12 months of trying at our age.

Have you gone to a fertility specialist? Usually over 35 and 6 mos trying to conceive, they would recommend seeing one and getting a full work up. I'm 27, spent a year trying, and then my OB referred me. Weight could effect it but could still be worth looking into.

Thank you both! I haven't had a full hormone panel done nor visited a fertility specialist, I will look into it and perhaps just keep trying too!

I’m 105kg, 34 and it took 18m to get pregnant with our second. First time round I got pregnant very quickly after stopping contraception so it was really frustrating this time. I had blood tests done and found I had an underactive thyroid, but I was already pregnant by the time the results came back so started medication around 6 weeks pregnant. Definitely push for bloods/full panel to rule out any issues with ovulation etc.
