Potty training - whose planning to train?

I'm keeping an eye out for signs from my boy. Have you got a plan of what you'll be doing?

We are going to wait to Spring/Summer as heard it’s easier when they are in lighter layers/warmer. Guess if they are out and in lots of layers and had an accident you may not see straight away so was a tip I was given. At the moment we are just using lots of toilet language and she can say this and tell us when she’s gone (not before) but she also likes to ‘lie’ about it and laugh. So just going to continue with talking about it for when she goes and when we need to go. Then next year start using some books and see if we can get her to communicate before going and then start which should align with spring/summer. Heard so many mixed things about when to start. Need to do some more reading into it.

We're waiting until Spring/summer or until he's 2. He can only tell me if he's done a poo sometimes but not every time, but he's nowhere near ready otherwise. My MIL says warmer weather makes it much easier as baby won't have many layers on, and you can spend a few days at home just in training pants without a worry of baby having an accident in his clothes or being cold etc, I think it makes the most sense for us. But we will be practicing toilet language in the meantime xx

We've got the training seat for the toilet and put her on it every nappy change. Can have days where she doesn't do anything but she has managed to have a wee and a poo in the toilet 🥰 we are also signing toilet/potty so she can ask

We’re going to wait until he shows an interest. We have a 3 year old so we still have a potty available to use in the bathroom. Our toddler showed an interest around 2yr 2months at that point she started asking to use the toilet herself so she didn’t really need any training.
