They told me 48 hours are you at home? Sorry you’re going through this
It took me a while to start bleeding then it was basically complete in 48 hours. I bled for a while after that though!
@Courtney Davis how did you feel during it
I’m probably just being impatient waiting for the unknown. Thanks both! Currently at home watching cheesy Christmas films on netflix to pass time x
@Danielle I was okay tbh, I didn’t have any pain just a lot of blood (be prepared to change about twice a hour only for a few hours) but it was a lot. It’s very scary and it’s a lot but you’ll be okay!
Definitely just keep yourself busy. I’m sorry for your loss! That was me only about 2-3 months ago so I know how it feels and it’s horrible! X
I’ve been told it’s very painful and I’m Terrified
@Danielle it probably varies with different people but I had basically no pain with mine!
How did you get on
@Danielle It failed so going back in the morning for a second dose. Really hoping it’s successful as I can’t face the surgical route this close to Christmas. I hope yours is successful Friday 🤞🏼
When you have it at home, do they not give you two doses as the hospital give you two?
I went to the hospital Monday and they gave me 4 tablets to insert whilst there and that’s it 🤷🏼♀️
@Danielle I had 1 dose (1 tablet at the hospital) then 4 pessaries 48 hours later then 2 oral tablets 6 hours later.. z
I’m so scared for it. Does it come with any other side-effects apart from bleeding?

Only 4 pessaries (misoprostol) given. From my extensive googling since Mon AM I have seen how so many different NHS trusts give slightly different guidelines which has confused me. I have added the details from my booklet above.
My leaflet I had was different to the actual thing itself x
@Courtney Davis in what way? Xx
@Danielle my leaflet explaining the procedure was different to my procedure. It only had the 4 pessaries not the oral x
@Courtney Davis think I’ll ask for this way xx
@Danielle id rather have it the proper way as it might do a better job x
@Courtney Davis did you take the pessaries and the oral? Xx
@Danielle yes I took 1 pill day 1 then 4 pessaries then 2 more pills 48 hours later. The 2 pills on the same day 6 hours after the 4 pessaries x
Oh god that’s a lot! xx
@Danielle it is but I’m just glad it worked tbh xx
I am going to ask this morning about this as I can’t take another failed one
Hope it goes okay x
They said it wasn’t their protocol to use the other one beforehand in my area. I just don’t get how it varies though 🤔 Apparently I have a retroverted uterus so they’re said that might have meant the inserted pessaries weren’t placed as they should have been on Monday. One of them hadn’t fully dissolved either. Sadly need to book in surgical management if this one isn’t successful. 5hrs in and hoping it works 🙏🏼
Oh god that’s awful. Is this common to happen or are you just unlucky? Rally hope this works for you xx
It has a 85% success rate according to the leaflet but at the hospital on Monday they said 80-85% chance and that having more doses doesn’t increase chances. They can give the pessaries up to 4 times every 48hrs but the likelihood is it won’t work if it’s already failed twice x

Hope it goes well for you girl:( x
Have they said why this isn’t working for you? xx
No reason given. It’s more likely to be successful if you have already started bleeding naturally I think
How are you getting on x
It hasn’t worked again sadly 😭
I am so sorry. Are you having to go back again? Xx
I have called up and waiting for a surgery date sadly
I have them Friday and I’m terrified
