Perinatal mental health team

I’ve been in contact with 111 when I had a mental breakdown as I have borderline personality disorder , had a video call with someone today and the guy just dismissed me he said he doesn’t think I need help bc I seem to be doing fine. The point of my bpd is I’ll be fine sometimes and other days I’m extremely not how can he just say I should self refer to therapy. I was happy I wasn’t gonna be alone and have support with my mental health and now I feel like I’ve been abandoned

Keep pushing for help. I would contact your midwife (if you are pregnant) or go back to GP explain the situation as they can take this more seriously other than someone palming it off if not . No one understands what each other goes through. who are they to say you are doing fine from a video call.

@Ell thank you, I have my first appointment with my midwife on Monday and I will explain all this to her. So exhausting constantly having to fight for help

More than happy to talk to you about this as I decided to get a diagnosis and help while pregnant, unfortunately the pregnancy mental health team will not help you as they only deal with pregnancy related concerns and bpd isn’t that x
