Behavior or Personality?
Does anyones kids act completely strange when they’re around strangers? Is this a behavior or personality thing that I should be concerned about? We have very normal children ages 5 and 3, but the second they come in contact with a stranger or someone they don’t typically interact with, they turn into the strangest kids making noises and doing odd things for attention. It’s kind of embarrassing. Does anyone else deal with this?
My niece was the same up until 10yo, she would start acting childish (for her age) and silly etc to get attention. My daughter is 4yo and she usually start showing off “I know how to do this and that”, when she was little, as soon as she’d notice a stranger looking at her, for example when we were on the bus, she pointed at things and would say the name/colour/shape of the thing. She started talking very early and had a great vocabulary so people were impressed and complimented her so she started doing all the time around strangers. I think it’s just a way to get attention
