Hair loss in babies

My baby is almost 8 weeks and I'm noticing some hair loss. I heard it was normal but whats kind of weird is that it seems to be right at the crown of her head. Do you think its from wearing headbands? Theres a distinct line in the loss of hair. She doesn't wear headbands all the time, just maybe for a few hours a couple times a week.

No I don’t think so as I haven’t put one on my baby yet and that’s where her hairloss is too x

Same area my son lost hair middle to top of head and he doesn’t wear any head accessories. All I can say is stop for a couple weeks and see if you see hair growth coming back, if she keeps losing then it’s just that normal hair loss baby’s go through

I baby lost all his birth hair after a couple months. It all grown back. I guess it's normal

The entire top of my son’s head was bald for a minute and he looked like an old man. We never even put a cap on him. It’s normal!

My kids were the same I think it’s just the part of the head that rubs on the mattress when sleeping and moving x

It’s from laying down that’s the crown that rubs against the mattress when sleeping. My daughter didn’t start growing her hair back till around 4-5 months when rolling over and not so much on her back and it’s completely normal. I only put headbands on her when going out but my son had it in the same spot too and he didn’t wear headbands of course. Headbands probably do make it slightly worse though cause it rubs against the hair.

My daughter was born with hair like that & went almost full friar with her hair loss 🤣 widest parting in the lands! It was as she started loosing the cradle cap the hair went with! She was between 3-4 months old. I laugh about it now but OMG did I cry when it happened 😭 she'd wake from naps with hair just stuck where she was laying 😅
