can you make mashed potatoes and homemade gravy? or fried potatoes and seasoned rice w veggies? you can season the rice with whatever you have in the cabinet or mexican rice is always great
Yellow rice (use turmeric for colour and bullion cube or stock and 1 bay leaf for flavour) toss in some frozen mixed veg and roast the lamb and potatoes
We make fried rice w whatever leftovers we can find in the fridge. For Xmas I hosted a big dinner for extended family though it’s 4am and they’re still here we’re still chilling and chatting lol

We always have Chinese on Christmas. They are always open for the Jews

I am making lamb stew. Do you have beef broth/cubes, onion? It feels weird because we usually get donair pizza on Christmas Day to support a Muslim owned business.

An idea for the future: I’ve been roasting potatoes and carrots with chicken (I’m sure lamb could work), also I like to roast the potatoes and carrots by themselves and then mashing them and add corn, though I bet peas could be a fun additive. What does your son think of refried beans?
@Victoria he won’t eat any kind of bean 🤣 but roasted lamb with potatoes sounds really good.
