I think something like "we'll take your comments onboard, thank you" Or "no, we'll let you know when we decide to cut it, but for now we like it this way" or change the subject every time, ignore it, pretend you didn't hear them, or start asking when they are going to do something random and keep asking Everytime they mention it 😂

We like it the way it is. We will decide when the right time is.

Don’t argue or explain. That just fuels the fire. Just say you are uncomfortable talking about that if they keep bringing it up. You don’t have to keep explaining yourself.
