Bottles?

We recently did about a month ago

@Ema How did your little one do? Mine absolutely loves her bottle at bedtime. She’s quite reliant on a bottle to go to sleep 🫣xx

@Kennedy fortunately she slowly stopped herself. We went cold turkey when we went on holiday and didn’t take the bottles with us. I also tried giving her milk in a cup which she did for a few nights but slowly stopped. Now I just make sure she’s full at night.

Our son stopped himself a year ago

I stopped when he only started drinking like 1oz of it.. this was around 15 months old.. but I made sure I upped his dairy intake during the day to make up for him with yogurts, cheese , extra milk on cereal etc x

Stopped himself at 1 but we had a baby a few months later so we did a bedtime bottle for a month or 2 then stopped again 😂

Our LO still has a small amount of milk in his bottle in the morning and a larger bottle for bed time. We tried using a silly cup but he really loves his bottle and still slowly cutting down on the amount but yep…. He’s still having 2 a day.

We still do milk before bed, but in a sippy cup ☺️ she loves her milk before bed!

About a year ago

@Emily My little one is the same! She loves hers and I’m unsure whether I need to be cutting it out or not. She’s happy and healthy & eats plenty, it’s more of a comfort thing before bed xx

@Kennedy I honestly wouldn’t worry ☺️ my eldest had a cup of milk till he was 3 at bedtime! As long as they’re eating well etc, I don’t see the issue! My HV didn’t care either at the 2yr review as we brush her teeth after ☺️

My son stopped himself on his 1st birthday. C

My LG still has bottles at night. I can’t see her giving them up anytime soon. I’ve thought about transitioning her off them but it seems to give her comfort. I don’t think she would take milk at night without a bottle. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m in no hurry to take them away but I’m hoping that she just starts rejecting them on her own 😂

We went cold turkey this week with switching to a cup instead. So far so good! Thought he’d be a bit fussy about it as we’re not heating it up but he doesn’t seem to have noticed 🙈
