I feel all of your pain! Everytime I detangle my hair, it seems as though handfulls fall out. I would suggest checking your thyroid function and iron levels as these can be low after giving birth and often we just overlook the symptoms. I also agree with taking a good multivitamin to optimise everything else!
Mine is mainly affecting my hairlines but is growing back after applying Shea butter every other day.
All part of the 4th trimester. Give it time. It will grow back. Takes up to18 months pp for hormones to return to normal.
@Rueben I use shea butter too, it’s got so fine though that it’s so heavy on my hair. I am going to stick with it though and hopefully see improvements 💪🏽 thank you!!!
@Rueben yes this is the same with me! Either combing/styling or washing or even rinsing and finger combing in the shower handfuls fall out and almost clumps as there are ringlets stuck together 😭😭😭
Same thing is happening to me. I was advised to try a hair massager so I've just ordered one.
i have curly hair too and have struggled with this. definitely try vitamins, collagen and maybe have your hormones checked. i’ve found that being super gentle when detangling helps a lot, washing and detangling more frequently, and massaging my scalp with rosemary oil at least once a week
@Ana if you can tolerate biotin, a hair oil with biotin is really good for scalp stimulation. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to it.

If you have time, maybe try making a whip with the Shea butter. I’m far too lazy so just use the raw stuff.
Following! Try hair vitamins
