You’re not wrong and it’s okay to be a little selfish. I wanted to breast feed but I found it exhausting and my mental health was plummeting from pumping every two hours. Baby boy is healthy, he’s fed, and was able to fight a cold in less than 2 days. As long as you’re feeding your baby it doesn’t matter how you feed him.
What made you want to cut out dairy? I fear my LO might have a CMPA and haven’t cut out dairy yet. Also dreading that because everything I eat has dairy.
Make sure to check with the pediatrician on it! You need special formula if there is a cow protein allergy. My son has a protein allergy so we are 100% on formula since we don't know exactly what the allergy is.
@Andria he has been having issues with severe gas issues and my first son had it and when I cut back on milk it eased the pain of his gas a lot. I just don't know if I have it in me this time around .
That’s how my daughter has been. She cries because she is so gassy and uncomfortable 😭 I might have to cut back just to see if it makes a difference.
As long as your baby is fed, however you do that is completely up to you. I cut out all dairy for my son's CMPA and it's definitely no walk in the park! Formula fed babies do just fine. Do whatever is best for you and your family! Your mental and physical health are important too.
