Formula amount

Does anyone’s baby eat much more than the ‘recommended’ amount of formula? I know they are only guidelines but my 6 and a half week old is eating 150-180ml per feed, probably 6 or 7 times per day. We’ve tried giving less but she just continues to show feeding cues and gets distressed until we feed her more. I’m worried about over feeding but she isn’t spitting up or being sick and we definitely don’t force her to drink so I’m not sure…. Any advice would be appreciated!

My little boy is 6 weeks and he’s drinking 5oz every 4 hours, he’s getting about 6 bottles a day also!

Like you say it’s the recommend amount, if your baby is showing signs of hunger you’re right by feeding them, you’re not doing anything wrong. Each baby is different, my first used to drink loads way over the recommend amount for his age but this time round my little boy is grazing through. If baby isn’t being sick etc keep doing what you’re doing x

I’m having this exact dilemma. My 6 week old is still feeding average 8 times a day and today he has had 10 feeds! We are giving him 120ml per feed but always shows signs of still being hungry so upped to 150ml in a couple of the bottles today in hope he might go longer and he’s gone less time between!!
