MIL

My mil keeps seeming surprised that my 2 month old prefers and then proceeds to try to talk to her in a sweet soothing tone for 45 minutes every time she sees her and I don’t wanna seem paranoid but it seems like she’s trying to confuse my daughter into thinking she’s the mother by being nurturing. Last night she was baby sitting while I caught up on sleep but my baby kept crying because it seemed like she only wanted to be breastfed so when I finally came out to try to comfort her his mom practically pushed me to the side to get to her first. I’m trying to be reasonable but his step mom is the same way. Will literally take my baby out my arms if she’s crying and then act like she did a better job then me when whole time she only doesn’t accept a bottle from me cause she’s breastfed and I didn’t feel comfortable just whipping my titty out just then

You have to stand your ground. Don't let them push you out of the way or take the baby from you.

just say with a smile “she’s my baby😊she wants me😊”

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I struggle at times with setting boundaries but in the long run I’m the one who suffers if I don’t. She’s your baby and you know what’s best for her more than anyone else. Maybe kindly say “oh no I’ve got it she wants her mama I will take it from here”.

It’s always the MIL’s🙂
