Any breastfeeding mommas on here? Or thinking about it

I don’t think there is much advertising or awareness about it but there are support groups in Wolverhampton I attend one on Wednesdays in wednesfield I started going before my little boy was born and it was good eye opener, they helped me with expressing colostrum and how to hold and how to latch with a doll and as soon as my boy was born they helped me so much with latching. I don’t want to see any other mommas struggling but they do have three support groups a week if you want anymore info let me know as the ladies are wonderful and it’s a nice way to meet new mommas xx

@Nicki amazing thank you! Do you have to register or can you just turn up? X

You just turn up, you just sign in at reception the ladies are lovely it helped me so much before I had my boy, and after it was amazing I still attend now and my boys 10 weeks old x

@Gemma aw congrats, i had my girl in April 24 and shes now 8 months. Ive exclusively breastfed the whole time and it can be hard but ive found it come to us like second nature! Good luck to you both and april will come around in no time!

I BF my son, he’s now 6mo. I didn’t go to any of the groups but I gained so much knowledge from the infant feeding team and I just asked loads of questions to any midwife I saw whilst in hospital (even when it was going fine) then when discharged I would write out questions so I could ask any healthcare providers on my check up appointments too. This is my second son (first EBF)! xxx

Aww that’s amazing the breast feeding support groups are run by the infant feeding team at New Cross :) xxx
