Trying for number two

Has anyone else started trying or thinking about trying for number two? Ideally I’d love a 2 year age gap, knowing it took so long to conceive the first time, are we stupid to start trying now?

It took us 5 years to have our little girl, 3 years of IVF and 6 miscarriages. We’re not in a position to do IVF again so we’re hoping for a miracle. We haven’t used any contraception (other than having a baby 😂) since I gave birth but haven’t actively tried. I think we’ll start to actively try when I go back to work in April x

We’ve had the discussion of not trying but not preventing it so if it happens, it happens. We put so much pressure on ourselves when TTC our April baby and didn’t want that again. We miscarried beforehand, I was also getting sent for fertility testing the month we conceived They say your more fertile in the first year after pregnancy, so say you were to conceive this cycle you’d be looking at an 18/19 month age gap x

I thought the same as it took a long time to conceive my first but one time is all it took for my second 🙈 xx

I would love to have another one asap but I just don’t think we’ll ever afford it until my LB is at school. Childcare costs are just too much for one let alone two sadly. I’ll be 40+ by that time

It took me 2 years to conceive our son but then I fell pregnant with our daughter when he was only 7 months old. Honestly I can’t say it will take you as long as it did the 1st time but also could be longer! It varies so much for everyone and it’s so unpredictable x

I would love to have another one but my husband is done having kids but it took us 6 years to have our little Miracle baby the week we were about to start ivf was the week We found out we were expecting xx
