Hi dear yes I had my second and third one via vbac as my first one was emergency cesarean... You need to have few things to keep in mind to. Make it successful vbac

Have you interviewed midwives with experience to support you?

I have a midwife who gave me some reading material. Just wanting to hear from someone who’s actually experienced what it’s like. I know everyone is different but when I had my C-section I was crushed and it changed my labour experience

Hi hun just recently had my VBAC in November after an emergency c section too, my tips would be to stay as active as possible, do loads of ball exercises, get those membrane sweeps early (they want you to go into labour latest 41weeks) ideally before due date or right around it as the chance decreases after, I got induced with a balloon too around 3 days before due date, as the sweeps didn’t work, had her 40 weeks on dot. Also, if you’re planning to get an epidural wait for atleast 4/5cm. Get a birth comb for pain relief or a regular strong one will do lool and just drink loads of water❤️I hope you have a successful VBAC the recovery, breastfeeding, bond everything is so much easier

I’m aiming for a vbac! I did a lot of reflection on why I thought I ended up with a c section the first time. 1) I didn’t really ever vibe with the midwives I had but went with them anyways 2) I let people talk me into letting them be there ( my mom / sisters) which I think has a lot of reasons why I ended up with c section because I couldn’t get comfortable birthing. This time around I am being more picky with who I choose for care and I’m keeping the people in the room very small and not allowing people who I don’t want there. I’ve also been reading ina mays natural birth book.

Message me if you have any questions too❤️

Thank you!!

So that's what I wanted and I'm with the midwives who told me statistically given my previous emergency c-section which was on account of baby not descending at all despite being induced and using a vacuum so my chances of a successful tolac are actually lower. However I made a plan with them to set a c-section date at 40weeks and if I end up spontaneously labouring before, I'll go through a tolac and if not, I'll go ahead with my planned c-section but will not get induced

@Neha thanks for sharing! I stopped progressing at 7cm and baby’s heart rate was dropping. I am with midwives but will be having a consult with an OB to discuss my chances. Wishing you a safe delivery

@Keisha wishing you the best too! I had my OB consult yesterday and he was supportive of the plan so I'm glad that is somewhat taken care of and I'll have my planned c-section date at 35 weeks. I had a big baby last time (10 pounds 4 ounces) and if I again end up measuring big in my last trimester, I might just straight away go in for a c-section
