My mum

My five month old is cutting teeth and sleeping pretty poorly at the moment, I don’t have much of a support network around me, my parents are local but I prefer to see and talk to them little at a time as sometime my mum especially can get a bit much, long story short, told my mum that I am not sleeping well at all because he is in pain and not sleeping her reply ‘No worries, that's babies for you 💗☺️🤗’ not to be a complete bitch but what response is that after saying I got three hours last night 😩 I am tired yes I am emotional yes but sometimes I don’t need a narcissistic mother I need one that will validate and respect how I am feeling instead of being been there done that. Sorry rant over!

@Liz girl I get it. I’m a COMPLETE single mom, my parents live in another country and when I tell them how I don’t sleep at all they say the same thing as your mom did. You’re doing a good job, trust me you are. It’ll get easier, my LO is about to be 9 months and I’ve learned that sometimes you just gotta give yourself a break. You can’t always be happy and peachy. Raising a human being isn’t easy, it kicks your ass. So just keep reminding yourself that it’s going to be ok. Cry it out if you must, give yourself that time because holding it in isn’t healthy either.

@Leslie🇸🇻 thank you ♥️ I appreciate your kind words x

Not my mum but what I thought was a close friend said "well you chose to have a baby" yeah I did choose to have one but you asked how I was, there's other issues that have come since with that friendship but still totally out or order to say anything like that when they know your tired, especially with it coming from you mum. Being a mum is certainly the hardest job, hats off to all those that do it alone xxx

@Francesca my mum has it so much easier, my partner works away last three weeks out of the month, I am self employed and have a 6 months old and maintain a house 😂 my mum has no excuse saying something like this to me.
