I’m terrified of anything hospital related especially blood and needles I had to have a c section cause she was breech and not enough fluid to turn and honest hand on heart it’s so calming I did my self a playlist and took my phone and earphones in so I didn’t have to listen to them talk while it was gettting done but they have the baby out so quick and once you see you baby nothing matters just rest well after wards xxx
Do. Not. Rush. Home. Stay in the hospital and slowly take less pain killer to make sure you actually can manage your pain at home.
I am squeamish and nervous around all medical procedures etc and my c section was honestly so great! Easier said than done but try not to worry, your baby will be out so quick and then everything else will be in the background. I made a playlist which I put on as soon as I got into theatre and it really helped give me something to focus on (only needed the distraction because I am afraid of needles!) it was also nice to see what baby boy came out to. Advice would be to strongly advocate for yourself for help from the midwives during the times your birthing partner can’t be there, as a FTM you might feel shy asking for them to lift baby to you or change them for you but please do, it’s so difficult and sore otherwise. stay on top of meds, my husband set timers on his phone and would keep me on schedule as postpartum brain is wild 🤣 Idve forgotten my own name! The initial pain only lasts a few days, don’t worry! I’m 4 weeks PP and feeling great, a little sensitive but manageable. 🤍
Tell them you’re very nervous, they will be kind ❤️❤️
@Willow I second this!
Try not to worry to much planned ones are much calmer than emergency I’ve had 3 c sections 2 emergency’s and 1 planned and the planned one was amazing you’ll be absolutely fine xx
