Show your support

Reach out to your gp to get some support put in place, whether that be therapy or medication. Also depending on what happened, is it worth looking into filing a complaint against the hospital and getting something done about your awful experience?

@Katie we made the complaint in September. They told us beginning of November they was sending the response that week. Since then weve got solicitors involved as they havent responded, the complaint has been sent to head of nhs due to severity of it. I have a birth matters appointment but its not until March, its disgusting theyre leaving it 7 & ½ months. My GP literally doesnt care because they dont understand what happened 🙃

That sounds really stressful and I’m sorry you’re going through that. Now is the time to be enjoying baby rather than be worrying about all of this! Shame on them for dragging it out the way they are. Can you not see another gp if you feel the one you’ve spoken to is dismissive, and explain the anxiety you’re suffering and see if there is anything they can do to help you cope with it? I’m not sure if there is anything similar in your area but where I live, we can self refer for nhs therapy which is really good

I am so sorry for you having to go through this Maybe a birth debrief with a birth keeper might help you process this. I think maybe kemi Johnson does them or Samantha Gadsden

If you are in the UK you can refer to your local talking therapies service if you think this might help - they can help with resolving birth trauma and related anxieties. You will be prioritised being postnatal. Sorry you are going through this and feeling so unsupported by the hospital, it sounds really tough ❤️
