Brooodyyy

My son is just over 1 and for the past month or so I can feel the broodiness returning. Me and my partner have always said we'd like to have multiple children and our son is our 1st however I didn't expect to be feeling broody so soon and my partner has started talking about the second baby more often. We were advised to wait a little bit as I had an emergency c-section but part of me is hoping for a happy accident and that everything will work out okay😅 has anyone else had this around this stage? Is it those lovely lady hormones or am I just mental😂....definitely didn't help i chose to sort through all the baby clothes and packing the tiny bits up yesterday😂

I had an emergency c section and got pregnant, not accidentally, when baby was 9 months. I’m now 5 months pregnant and the midwives and consultant I saw have said that although it’s ideal to wait 18 months, as long as the c-section and your next birth are over a year apart, they’re not concerned. However, you do have to be careful when lifting anything in order not to aggravate your internal scar. If you’re feeling broody, I would - well I have! 😅

@Parris Ahh congratulations👶I've heard so many different things about the timing between c-section and 2nd baby its crazy, good to know that though so thank you! We had a scare when little one was 10 months but test was negative and ended up being late due to a lot of family stress going but the thought of another baby so soon had us pooping our pants but also disappointed when the test was negative and I got my period....a lot of complicated feelings about a 2nd baby sooner than anticipated but the more I think about it the better it sounds😂

Thank you! I’m not going to lie, the first couple of months being pregnant I was PETRIFIED 😅 I still am! But also excited they’ll grow up close in age. My surgeon/midwife didn’t mention waiting until I fell pregnant again and I think it depends on how your surgery went. Mine was fine, I had the perfect emergency c-section 🥴😂 so I didn’t fear falling pregnant again. It happens by accident all the time too! But if you’re a little nervous speak to a midwife or maybe get in touch with the hospital to understand how the surgery went

@Parris it was pretty tragic...I lost a lot of blood and baby ended up in the baby unit for just over 24 hours due to my placenta rupturing but they don't really know why that happened. They advised waiting based on it being a c-section so think it must vary based on doctors and where its done 🤔

Oh bless you, I can’t imagine how terrifying that must’ve been ☹️ if your doctors made an effort to tell you to wait, then it’s probably best to, but mine didn’t! The surgeon was a Jr Doctor in training so maybe she forgot? Idk but they’re not concerned with my pregnancy at all!
