Brow lamination

Has anyone done brow lamination when pregnant before? What’s your recommendations?? The clinician is telling me she’s never come across issues but googles sided against it for cautionary reasons.

I’ll be 32 weeks pregnant when having it done if I do get it.

I’ve heard about this but when my friend was pregnant with her little boy she still had them and it was all fine. The same for tinting brows Apprently, I do my own and never had an issue

@Megan I have tinted mine once I think and I’ve had semi permanent hair dye so maybe it’ll be fine? I’m just anxious being a first time mummy lol. Thank you ☺️ xx

I would just be extra cautious maybe get a patch test first as I have my lashes done all the time and I’m fine but when I’ve been pregnant I have a reaction xx

@Tricia yeah I think you’ll be completely fine. You can go to the hairdressers and get your hair done while pregnant so I don’t see any difference in tinting brows and laminating etc. I can’t see how that would effect the baby xx

I had mine done all throughout and it was fine… I did have another patch test tho as pregnancy can effect your skin reactions

@Jessica thank you, it’s because it’ll be my first time getting it done too. I’ve never reacted to tints before but now that I’m pregnant I’m just unsure lol xx

@Megan thank you love! I’ll get the patch test too xx

Most of these procedures are fine. You definitely can do it.

@Diana thank you xx

I offer the service as a brow tech & esthetician and I would do a patch test 48hours before. You don’t necessarily have to be allergic to get a reaction. Sensitive skin can cause a bad reaction as well. If no redness or swelling from patch test you’ll be good to go.

@Tesha Thank you! That’s helpful to know. Xx
