Having a potty there in the bathroom and making sure he sees you use the toilet is a good introduction but I wouldn’t do anything else just yet, it would be very very early.
First step, get a potty. lol thanks .
i started potty training my son on 12/31. we go first thing in the morning and 90% of the time he will poop. the other 10, he will just pee but he has used the potty consistently every morning. hasn’t pooped overnight since we started. i’d recommend lots of praises, and get him off when he’s had enough. i don’t force it, he actually enjoys sitting on there. we practice our body parts, read books, play with the toys he has in the bathroom until he uses it. but now he usually just gets straight to business when i put him on there!
My girl isn’t quite ready to start potty training officially, but I brought her potty into the bathroom to familiarize her with it. She sees mommy and daddy both use the toilet and we talk to her about it. She’s played around it and has playfully sat on it a couple times (dressed) mimicking us. I plan to let her take the lead on when she’s showing signs she’s ready. I’m not sure what her signs will be but I’m sure I’ll figure it out 🤣 not sure if that’s helpful for you or not.
