tongue tie soothing

Just had Baba's tongue tie cut. It was posterior and wide. The little lady is 2 months old and very sore. They prescribed her calgel and was wondering if I can use Calpol alongside it and forgot to ask. I know many people do but I know 2 months oldd don't normally use calgel and was unsure if Baba that young can have both together 🤔 Also how long does it take for the pain to subside, so sad seeing her in pain while feeding and stuff and want to mentally prepare for how long it takes.❤️
