Please don’t be so hard on yourself. If you need to seek some help, do it and don’t fear judgement. Your mental health is as important as your physical health. But know that all of us find this newborn phase really hard. Sleep deprivation and the pressure of looking after this tiny gorgeous baby is really hard. No shame in admitting that! I’ve just had baby 2weeks ago and it’s already been an emotional rollercoaster. Sending positivity your way! X
There is absolutely no judgement here. The first few weeks I really struggled. I wanted to run away and not come back. Please get help if you feel like you would benefit from it but know that what you're feeling is very normal and it is bloody hard and overwhelming. The thing I reminded myself when I felt like running away was that it wasn't because I wanted to, it was a flight response to his screaming and very normal. You're already doing a good job because you're acknowledging you need some help and the very fact you're worried about coping shows how much you care
Have you tried infacol or gripe water, that usually helps with relieving wind. My baby (three weeks tomorrow) has taken well to infacol when I get the odd bad night with him. Just remember, you are adjusting to the new life give yourself time. Even though it’s hard, just think they need you more than ever and it makes you think a lot differently towards the situation🫶🏼 always happy for a message if you need advice xx
