Mine is the same, you put as much salt as you can, I've realized I really didn't put much in once I saw a plumber doing it. It was a lot to the rim, he was waiting for some to dissolve and added more on top of it.
Oh and my husband forgets to put the cap back on, so don't make the same mistake.
@Leanne it was not full of water before, just recently became like that...I am afraid to damage it 😳
@Karolina you don't put salt every time you do cycle? Now I can't put any, because water came till top...I even did not use it for a week or something because not sure what happened 🤔
Ours was always full of water and my mums and my partners mums and never had any issues, we just put salt in and go, so it's normal
I'm very bad at it tbh, I know it shows when it needs salt, but I definitely don't do it each cycle. I think water is fine you add salt to it, they say you can spill the water from it, it's the salt that could make damage so you just need to try not to spill a lot of salt when you're putting it in if that makes any sense
Mine has water in, and the one at work. I always assumed it was normal. Meant to fill it all the way with salt too x
