Tube tying

Hey everyone! I’m wondering if anyone has had their tubes tied or considering it? I’ve been high risk with both of my pregnancies and really wanted a third baby, but I’m thinking it’s maybe a good idea to be done after two. If you have had your tubes tied how was the recovery and do you regret it?

I am thinking about it after this 4th child is born. I asked my husband to get a vasectomy. He said no we will be more careful. I don’t want another after this baby, and I hate the side effects of birth control. But it’s such a big final decision and I don’t want to regret it. So, idk yet.

@Lucy Sundin I am in the EXACT same boat!!

My MIL got her tubes tied 15 years ago and she’s never had a problem. But she also got them done during a c section. So it wasn’t a full blown 2nd surgery again for it.

@Lucy Sundin tell him you’ll have to use condoms indefinitely then. That’s stubborn of him and selfish. It has no ill effects on him unlike birth control to females. He rather you either be cut opened for tubes tie, or poked for an iud, hormone and body changes due to birth control, or possibly another baby. Then get a 5 minute procedure. Ew.

@Victoria I know. I even phrased it, I will have given birth 4 times and can you “take one for the team” so to say and that was his response. Like uh, no I know my limit. I am the one carrying the babies and I am the primary care taker to them all as well and if I say we’re done after 4 kids, we’re done after 4 kids. Period.
