No cry sleep solution has a lot of information on cosleeping and breastfeeding. It was a good book. She has you complete logs to remember what happens each night. You can start to see patterns and troubleshoot. It helps. The first year is hard for sleep because so many changes month to month. It gets better after 1st birthday
So when my baby was little, I put one of my dirty shirts over her bassinet mattress, and put her down for a nap in it when she was 2 months old (all supervised), and we've been able to do independent naps ever since. She still mostly sleeps on her own at night. Occasionally, (we're almost at 13 months now) she'll need help settling, but she'll stay asleep when we move her back to her pack n play. Now, getting her to sleep in her own room is a challenge. We can get her to nap in there for at most 1.5 hours, but we haven't succeeded at anything more.
