My OB once I passed first trimester was not concerned at all with dosage increase that was needed
I tried to keep it low as possible for as long as possible but estrogen increase decrease effective ness of lamictal so you have to adjust as you go but yeah everyone tells me it’s safe for pregnancy
This is so encouraging, thank you so much! Did you have to get any recurring bloodwork to keep track of things other than routine bloodwork for the OBGYN?
They didn’t do bloodwork on me. I think you can to keep track of your blood levels of meds. Remember so many ppl take a high dose during pregnancy for seizures! And they can’t go without. So that’s why there’s the most evidence of lamictal being relatively safe. I went through some feelings of guilt but your mental health is very important during pregnancy. It’s not easy! I’m 33 weeks
Actually my mood stayed mostly stable only adjusted meds twice! I hope the same for you good luck !!
I’m on 100 mg (my regular dose) since 14w. I have bipolar 1. I was given a lot of research and reassurance from my doctor that it was safe for baby whereas unmedicated, I know I’m not. So that’s how I decided.
Thank you so much mommas, this is making me feel so much better! Keeping my mental health where it needs to be is so important to me with so many changes, and you’ve brought me such peace of mind 🤍🙏🏼
I know this is an old post but I took 150 mg of lamotrigine my entire pregnancy, and breastfeeding. No issues whatsoever
Yes hi I’m on 125 mg of lamictal been on it entire pregnancy! my baby is fine! the risks supposedly are first trimester but I took a prescribed very high dose of folic acid to prevent them
