Help xxx

Hi. My baby girl turns 6 months old on Sunday and I don't know where to start with BLW. Can you give me some advice? TIA

Start with really soft foods like bananas or steamed broccoli. It'll ease anxiety of choking at the start. Then just slowly build up to more difficult foods like doing scrambled eggs and toast. Eventually you'll be able to give baby some of you dinners

I’ve just brought “moon and rue baby led weaning” book, apparently it’s really good and helpful so once it turns up later I’ll let you know if it’s any good🙈x

@Rosie she has a tik tok page as well that i followed for the meals

Also look into starting with the alergy food too. Some have been mentioned like bananas, eggs, peanut butter

@Nicoleta oh my god amazing! Thank you x

@Rosie cheaper than the book 😅 No worries

@Nicoleta I’ve already brought it🥲it was half price tho so not too mad🙈x

I can confirm the book was worth the £11 I paid for it! Had a quick glance. So much information in there including allergens, some yummy recipes for each stage and at the back of the book theres a whole meal plan for the first month of weaning!

I used the Solid Starts app which shows how to prepare foods by age group with pictures! It’s a journey not a race so just start small, some days we didn’t even do solids at first!

Mashed fruits then mashed veggies then grains. It worked well with us and was advised by HV
