Yea it's very common
@Emmo I did read that somewhere
@Star thankyou
@Nikki I know it's a bit worrying, especially at this time of year, we wonder if it's something else, like a tummy bug, especially with the mucus it can be a bit of a shock when you first see it 😅 just make sure there's teething meds on hand & brace yourself for a potentially fussy and needy baby on bad days. Also less milk intake sometimes (my LG will just chew on all her teats on bad days)
@Star it's the mill intake that's worring me the most she normally takes 36 ounces yesterday she only had 26. Then this morning only had 3 ounces of her morning bottle. I just hope she drinks the next one x
@Nikki my little girl is the same. She's 6 and a half months now. She will only have 2/3 ozs in the morning (usually 7ozs) we started weaning and found she wouldn't take the bottle but would happily eat food (both blw and purées) I spoke to my HV and we started with 2 meals a day. She did also say, try to offer small bottles more often. So my LG drinks every 4 hours usually, we started offering 4ozs every 2 hours & she would drink a bit more. Even pop some milk on a teat, cover it over & freeze it. Then give it to her, it'll help with the pain of the gums & it's like a little ice-cream
I found, right when you start to really worry, they start downing a full bottle again 🤣 it will pass, it's just where it's so bad for her at the moment.
I've tried little more often today but she's having none of wouldn't even entertain it. I can't do the frozen milk I'm not breast feeding unfortunately. We are due to start weaning tomorrow. I asked HV she said to still start even if she's not drinking properly just worries it will make her milk intake worse. God the constant worry of been a mother it's enough to kill a mother off 🥺🥺 x
You don't need to be breast feeding to do the frozen milk pop, just make 1oz & put what fits in a teat. Honestly, every baby is different, but as I said, my lg was more interested in milk after eating for some reason. It can sometimes be a sign they're ready to move onto food even. I keep being told the worry just gets worse which is awful 😭😅
Really, I read you couldn't freeze formula milk. She only had 16 oz so far today got this mamma worried sick x
I thinks it's because they swallow a lot of drool
