My husband just sleeps in another room once the baby ends up in our bed. It's difficult to have everyone in there. Can he leave? Or you?
A bigger bed will solve the problem, or an extension bed connected to your bed for your toddler
So I have a couple suggestions aside from getting a bigger bed.. do you have 2 bedrooms? You can get your son a floor bed for his room and sleep next to him til he passes out, then sneak out. Then both you and your husband can have your bed to yourselves. Another option would be to get your husband to sleep on the couch lol if he doesn't mind. This is what we're doing cause we have 2 kids and it works for us. If our 3 year old cries in the middle of the night, then her dad will go sleep next to her. My 1 year old sleeps next to me on our bed. As someone else above said, I don't mind cause my husband snores and it drives me crazy 🙈
It isn't wrong if you. I'm not sure if it changes for a toddler as opposed to a younger baby but the guidance is that the baby shouldn't be in the middle.
@Natalie Pretty sure baby can be in the middle from 4 months :)
I think a floor bed for babies room is the way forward. Hopefully it will create a new routine so you both get your bed back and i guess if you really need to you can sleep in there with them on the days that's needed
@Brittany We have one of those plastic door knob covers so she can't leave her room.. our rooms are on the second floor so I'm afraid she'll fall down the stairs. A baby gate won't work especially if she likes to pull on them.
Me and my fiancé haven’t slept in the same room since I gave birth. It’s weird but I like just sleeping with my son. My son doesn’t snore loud as hell. But if you want a bigger bed get one but if you have room
