Low tolerance for men

Is it just me, or after being in an abusive domestic violence relationship, my tolerance for men has become really low? I'm in a relationship, and i respect and love my man. But when it comes to other men, be it family or friends or acquaintances, once i notice a bad behaviour or red flag, i tend to cancel or ignore them. Sort of black and white thinking. Am i a misandrist(man-hater)?

So not that I was in that relationship but my parents were and witnessing it made me super weary of men. I just don’t particularly even like being in male company that I don’t know! I’m very quick to pick up on shit my friends husbands do and other guys around me. Think it heightens your intuition x

@Emilie Thank you. I thought it's just me. I'm so relieved to hear that.

Sounds more like a trauma response

Same but not just men, anyone in general. As soon I have a red flag or just see shitty behaviour I'm out. Ever since my shitty relationship I'm now all about protecting my peace ✌🏻

@Lyss I think about men who has red flags this way.

@Helen Definitely is. Once bitten, twice shy.

@Melissa Yes, cut out negative people in your life.

@Megan Protecting our peace is a priority. Also, putting up boundaries. 👌

Men kind of suck as a majority, and have treated women like shit for thousands of years, we don’t even have full equality yet, so meh, but it’s not all men ofc.
