Advice đź’›

I’m a FTM at 37 weeks 1 day. Since week 35, my baby has been in frank breech and flex breech position so we have been trying to get them to turn naturally (Moxibustion, frozen peas etc!) Since Sunday/ Monday I’ve had dull period cramps with infrequent tightening, which have typically been around 3 in 20 minutes, lasting around 30 - 55 seconds. This happens every day, but I often have a few hours during the day where nothing happens at all and I feel fine. The tightness builds and sometimes stops me from what I’m doing, other times I can carry on with my day. It’s difficult to say if they are getting worse as the pattern isn’t established. I’ve also had backache since this started, diarrhoea and headaches. The last 24 hours or so I’ve started to release a white thin liquid (slow, trickling sensation with occasional burst) which leaves me feeling very damp (ick!) but no blood etc. I was asked to go to triage on Monday night and they confirmed I was having irregular contractions, but cervix was totally closed so they offered me to stay in hospital for observations or go home - I chose to go home and have just been monitoring all week. I know early labour / latent phase can last for a while but I’m just wondering if anyone has any views as I’m just taking it all day by day at the moment! It’s a rollercoaster! 🎢

I was in latent phase for around 2 week. And then needed to have 2 stretch and sweeps and then they decided to pop my waters at 41 weeks. Just go with the flow. I was exactly like this and kept thinking it'll be "any minute now". As a first time mum, it's terrifying as you have no idea what's going on or what to expect. Try getting into a routine on a night and have a bath then cuddle thay pregnancy pillow🤣 this latent phase was worse that labour. At least you know once proper contractions start it's nearly over🤣 Give us a message if you need anything x

Thank you 💛 I feel pretty calm, it would just be good to know what’s going on! Haha xx

Good luck. I was 3cm for 2 weeks and had no clue🤣 but once I was in labour I think I went from 3-10 in about 1 hour ahah cx
