We’re keeping it away from my son until nap time/bed time but no idea how to wean him off it for when he goes to sleep! X
We went cold Turkey just as a trial really and he only asked for it a couple of times and I told him the other little babies needed it and hasn’t had it since! He had it nearly all the time too and now he goes to sleep for a nap and at bedtime so much easier.. definitely won’t work for everyone but it did for us x
My little boy had it only for nap and bed time. Yesterday was the first day and he was emotional for 15 mins before his nap and fell straight to sleep at Bedtime but was up at 4am and couldn't re settle him 👎🏻
Health visitor said that if you just take it away, within 3 days they will have forgotten (as long as none r in sight still) and this is exactly what happened w my daughter, we got rid of it at 14 months and the first day/ night she was very fussy, the second night she was relatively ok and by the third night she didn’t care. If she saw a dummy around the house she would get upset when it’s taken off her but she is fine
Cut the end off them with scissors they wont get the same satisfaction from them and will just not want them anymore x
no but following because i wanna get my boy off his but he constantly asks for it 😭 and the meltdowns are not worth the battle rn
