Care for episiotomy?

The pain is awful. I also had my vaginal septum removed, so it's even more stitches. I've been using the dermoplast, don't like the cold pads, using the witch hazel pads, ibuprofen, and cream. The episiotomy is hole to hole. Any advice for the pain or going to the bathroom?

How long ago did you give birth? I didn’t have a full tear, it was a grade two but I was recommended by the health visitor to put a few drops of tea tree oil in a shallow bath and sit in that for 10 mins every day. I found it really soothed me. I also used spritz for bits spray every time I went to the toilet. For trying to go you can fold toilet paper up and hold that on the area sort of as support so you’re not putting so much pressure on that area. Hope it starts to heal soon for you

this sounds like my worst nightmare 🤍 sending u all my love and positive energy during this time and hopefully recover quickly

My episiotomy was horrible too. I would hold my bowels just to avoid going to the toilet. There is something called moringa seeds it’s widely used in the Caribbean and Africa, it’s a Fantastic laxative helped me so much I was finally able to go to the toilet(no other laxative worked for me) You can order it online. You chew the seeds and just wait (i think it comes in a tablet and powdered forms too) I promise it’s much easier than trying to push out hard stool. For pain I used co codamol, warm baths with tea tree oil also helped soothe the area
