Grandparents car seat

Hi Mums Myself and my parents now have the Joie360 in our cars. Other grandparents had the MaxiCosy baby car seat (can’t think of the type, Pebble maybe) - anyway - they’ve accidentally got rid of it so now they don’t have a car seat for when they have her. Baby’s auntie tends to collect her from London and Nan and grandad drive her back from Hampshire. Now they’re seatless - can anyone suggest a seat that can go from aunts car to nan and grandads car that will a) fit an 8+ month old and b) won’t break the bank as baby isn’t visiting frequently. Thank you.

Ickle bubba 360, we have it for our girl in happy with it and was around £130 so much more reasonable than others

@Georgina thank you. she doesn’t go down there much - but when she does she goes in both aunty and grandparents cars ~ so need something that can be removed and replaced 🥴

Graco slim fit/turn to me or Joie stages/every stage are the one that at often recommend as budget seats in car seat groups. They’re all Joie seats (graco just rebranded them) and Joie have decent crash test results. If your kid is big/tall/heavy those seats won’t last very long so a britax Safeway or maxsafe would be a better investment because it will let them be harnessed longer. Those seats pass the Swedish plus test which is the highest standard

@Kierrah lovely Thank you I’ll take note of this for them. 🫶🏽

The britax ones I mentioned(and basically all seats that harness over 105cm) have lower tethers and have to be belted in which can freak people out but you can get extra tethers so once they’re in the car they never have to move and doing the belt up is simple too. https://youtu.be/4Efpx1RYvjs?si=yZMJm5wp0eAmc6AI

I got the joie tilt from Argos think it was £75 for my mums car (and also to be used as spare for other people wanting to use it). Haven’t set it up in the car yet but my girl has been in it a few times in the house to get her used to it and it looks good so far and is pretty affordable as didn’t want to spend a lot xx

I'm thinking of getting the joie stages for the grandparents for now a cheaper but safe option and hopefully not as hard for them to install as a tethered seat

@Flo I think this is on offer in Tesco!

@Charlotte I’ll take a look at this one. Thank you!!

@Kierrah lovely. Thank you. I have her one - but now it’s in Hampshire I’m not sure if it was a rear facing one 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Charlotte just had a nose. Does that go rear facing do you know ??

@Hayley yeah rear facing and forward :)

@Charlotte thank you 🫶🏽
