Pram rant

Bought my ‘forever pram’ in early November decided we were going to wait a few weeks to open it as we were in the middle of moving and all that crap so we waited to open it together in LO room we tested it out I loved it and so did my partner the moment was special until we tried getting through the door to our home (it didn’t fit) I was heartbroken so was the bank in this situation so I got on the phone to mamas and papas 26/11/24 and they said they would get back to me well they did 10/01/25 😂😂 the massive time jump ever! They explained that I couldn’t send it back as it wasn’t a manufactured fault and I should have ‘measured the doors before purchasing the pram’ WHAT!! And how would a ftm know she had to measure a door? So overall I can’t even get in the house with my baby without taking her out of the pram and folding the pram up and taking it in the house 😂🥴 we are doomed

Tbh I never took my pram indoors anyways, dirty wheel marks everywhere no thank you! I just took her out at the door and always kept the pram in my car boot, or the garage if you have one.

Sell it. You might have to take a hit on how much for but if it’s brand new people would be happy with a 20% discount. 🤷🏻‍♀️ BTW most people downsize their “forever pram” in about 9-12 months. Getting rid of it often when the child is 2 (unless the plan is for another)

@Ellie we don’t have a car yet which is a pain in the arse enough 😂😂 or a garage looks like it’s staying in the garden with the hedgehogs 😂😂😂😂

@Cal the only problem is you can’t purchase a car seat (meaning when the person comes and collects it it will be second hand and your not supposed to have second hand car seats) we are planning on having another in the future and we really love the pram x

You can. It’s just not recommended for people to buy second hand in case it’s been in a crash. Besides you don’t have to sell the car seat. If you love it you could look at something like a bike storage box or similar? x

I don’t wheel my pram indoors as it would leave dirty tyre marks on the floors, I take my baby out at the door or bring him inside in the carrycot and fold the chassis up before bringing it inside and storing it in the under stairs cupboard 😊
