Pedicures?

Probably a silly question but can you get pedicures while pregnant. I’m 36 weeks and I’ve heard mixed reviews on the topic. Some say of course and I feel like I’ve seen pregnant people there before but then others say don’t let them massage your feet or do anything put paint the nails because it’ll put you into labor. My feet are gross and I really want to get them taken care of but I can’t reach them anymore!

I don’t know if you are really supposed to but I’ve got a few pedicures in my 2nd trimester. I told the ladies to use warm not hot water to avoid raising my BP/HR too much. You can always tell them to not massage your ankles and legs.

I’m currently 33 weeks and I’ve been getting pedicures monthly. I’ve heard that the “massaging” part of the pedicure can induce labor because of certain pressure points but you can also ask your OB what they think but I’m sure it’s not a big of a deal but it doesn’t vary from person to person. You can also just skip the rub if you’re worried.

i’ve been getting them the whole time with the massage and all and my baby is fine

I have been getting pedicures, manicures, prenatal massages and such and it’s all ok. One of the prenatal massage ladies didn’t want to massage my feet because she believed that it could induce labor. It was a bummer as it was the part I look after the most lol girl go get pampered! It’s gonna be impossible after the baby is born 😌
