@Shannon hi, I was actually looking at buying my car seat from their website so that’s really useful, thank you!
No problem! I know the team usually reply pretty quickly to emails so hopefully they’ll be able to help you tomorrow 😊
@Shannon , are they really good at helping out with car seats? Because maybe we can give them another try. Unfortunately, when we were looking for a pram, we were very disappointed... We had booked an appointment and spoken to them explaining what we were looking for. But when we got there, we were just shown where the prams are and that was that. When we asked for help, we had to tell them all over again what we needed. Every time we asked a question (when we could get hold of someone) they had to go check on the computer. We were disappointed because we were told on the phone that they would prepare prams to show us based on our needs and that we would have a sales assistant to help us for an hour... We went to Newbie & Me the same day, without an appointment and they spent over an hour with us, listening to what we were looking for, showing us prams and explaining every little detail. It might have been just a bad day at Winstanley's, but we were left very disappointed...
I’m really sorry to hear that! I’d encourage anyone who plans to visit to read our reviews on trustpilot which will show this is a rare experience. I’m assuming this was the Stoke store? Was it recently? This shouldn’t have happened and I’m sure the store manager would appreciate the opportunity to investigate this, if it wasn’t already raised at the time. On the car seat topic, the girls are independently trained with regular training from brands and some event spend their personal time doing additional research. They’re extremely passionate.
@Shannon It was the Wigan store and it was end of November (before Black Friday). We did not raise a complaint as we didn't want to get anyone in trouble, might just have been an off day, I can understand that. But unfortunately, it did leave a bad impression as we did not receive any help at all... As you understand, we are a bit reluctant now to book an appointment for when we need to upgrade our car seat. We were there for 30 mins, just looking around on our own. We were told when booking the appointment that there would be an assistant dedicated to us to help and show us prams that would fit our requirements, and all we got was "let us know if you need anything"...
I won’t pass comment on the group as I’m not in it but if you’re stuck for help try speaking to Winstanleys Pramworld (to be completely transparent I work there but not in sales) the team in sales have independent IOSH training and we stock all of the specialist ERF brands as well as other leading car seat brands so can give impartial advice. We also offer all the aftercare you’ll need including fit checks either remotely or in store.
