Nursery napping

Does anyone have any experience with their toddler napping at nursery for a long time and then not wanting to go to bed? Our 17 month old doesn’t nap at weekends and goes to bed fine. On nursery days he naps for 2 hours and won’t go to bed until 10pm some nights. Nursery say they can’t wake him due to ofsted regs. Has anyone got any advice?

Yes my nursery were letting my little girl nap for 3 hours (!) sometimes and she wouldn’t sleep at night, in the end I told them to cap her nap at 1 hour and they said a few kids have their naps capped it wasn’t an issue x

I’ve never heard of that, my little girl is a bit older she’s 2, it might be to do with age? Not sure

Our nursery put the lights up and start playing at a reasonable time. It gets everyone up without technically "waking them" as such.
