Is it normal for this age to want us to consistently play?

My little boy loves his roleplay, he always gets me to play with him pretending I'm in a fire engine and other stuff. But feel like he consistently wants me to play and also with his toys. He doesn't play on his own as much as he should. Is this normal for this age to want you to consistently play?

Oh my son is exactly the same! I think is the age maybe bc before he was playing more independent I feel 🫢

My son’s the exact same. It’s mummy/daddy play with me, but constant. I’ve also got a 6 month old so feel like I’m constantly trying to juggle them both 🥲

My little girl is exactly the same, too! She doesn’t play independently at all- bloody exhausting!!

Thanks for replying I thought I was the only one. It can be tiring especially when I need to do other things like housework/dinner. Hopefully he phases out of it, if could just be this age. X

My daughter is the same, but I find if I can't help her cause I have to shower or do chores she will do her own thing and play well independently. When I can engage again she will immediately want me to play but if I sit still and don't make eye contact she'll keep playing by herself cause she doesn't notice me 😂
