I've been there twice, depending on your symptoms and how you are coping they may put you on a mild antidepressant or an an anxiety meds. If your feeling like like you have it, go and see your gp / Dr and have a chat to them, as options change all the time. Don't be hard on yourself being a mum is hard, and it's normal. Good luck mumma

Thank you libby, i have my 8 week check up today so ill be bringing it up xx

Been there too babes they usually pair u with a psychiatrist and they offer you help and no worries they increase and decrease your meds little by little to see where works best. I suggest you let those around you help me out because for about a month those medications have you very drowsy and without any mood to do anything

Dont feel guilty for having ppd just keep in mind your kids deserve a happy mom and you will come back to yourself

Thanks everyone, just been the doctors they was no help whatsoever! she basically said to me "don't you have family to help" i said yes and then she said "well you should ask for help off them" im furious

Put a complaint in! When I had my 8 week appointment I was spoken to horrifically too and not listened too. I ended up having ppd & ppa. You can ask to be referred to the perinatal services too. My inbox is always open if you need someone to talk too.
