Infant Car Seat Transition

At what age did you move your baby out of an infant car seat? My baby is 7 months and I swear he does not like his infant car seat anymore.

We switched early because that worked best for my family. But you can transition any time. Most convertible car seats can be used from newborns.

We switched around 6/7 months he started getting heavy to lug in it and the straps started rubbing badly. It was a good idea he loves his car seat

We switched around 6 months because he also hated the infant car seat! He does so much better with the convertible one 😊

My son grew out of his quickly so we changed about 6 months. Just do it! They are just as safe

Switched at 7 months he just hated the infant car seat

We bought a convertible one that is newborn to 4 years. I changed it to front facing when he was 2 - that’s what the height recommendations on the seat suggested

We switched around 6/7 months & it was great because we got the 360 spin whereas our infant carrier was fixed :)

We transitioned at 15m. Still rear facing but just a different car seat.

We've switched at 3 months. We were in a car accident on Christmas Day so recommended not to use the carrier she was in and she had a new one for Christmas (good timing). She's actually so comfortable in the new one. There's no screaming as soon as she goes in it and she has more room for her arms! Obviously still rear facing.n

Apparently I should try changing. My 8 month old has been getting fussy in the baby seat. With my first, I feel like I switched when I was less worried about waking him from a nap to go into the store. But I don’t remember when that was.
