Are there any vitamins or supplements that can help make postpartum depression better?

I’m 2 weeks postpartum and getting baby blues. I was just wondering if it’s possible some vitamins can make it less intense or to go away temporarily? Also, would it help to continue taking my prenatal daily?

#1 gotta say talk to your doctor, especially if it gets worse It's very common to develop vitamin d deficiency postpartum. That can cause depressive symptoms. "Studies suggest a link between low serum vitamin D levels and an increased risk of postpartum depression.[13][14] Correction of vitamin D deficiency may play a significant role in the recovery from postpartum depression.[15] Mothers struggling with depression should have their 25-OH vitamin D level tested." https://www.va.gov/WHOLEHEALTHLIBRARY/tools/treating-postpartum-depression.asp#:~:text=Vitamin%20D,OH%20vitamin%20D%20level%20tested.

Your hormones are just all over and you're sleep deprived. Good nutrition definitely helps! I think changing my mindset helped me the most. Once you're better rested and healed, you'll feel better ❤️ give yourself grace and know it's okay to not enjoy every moment.

My naturopath recommended to keep taking prenatal vitamins (make sure it’s has folate , not folic acid as folic acids is knows to increase depression). Also vitamin D , and omega 3 supplements with EPA-DHA.

Absolutely there are !! I could tell you everything i took that helped me but that wont help you. I’d recommend having a Telehealth consult with a really great naturopath so you are getting exactly what you need. 🤗

Thank you all so much!!
