Dewsbury or Calderdale

Hi all, we are moving to West Yorkshire from Kent in the next month or so and I am currently 6 weeks pregnant! I’m looking at hospitals nearby, ideally wanting a birth centre as I had my daughter at my local birth centre. Does anyone have any experience with either Dewsbury or Calderdale? I’m not sure which midwifery team to refer to. Thank you

I moved from dewsbury to Calderdale during my pregnancy and both were lovely, I had all my pregnancy appointments in dewsbury and then gave birth in Calderdale royal and couldn’t fault either really xx

Both my pregnancies have been with Calderdale hospital. The first time I was induced due to the high blood pressure so didn't experience the birth centre but was in for a week in total and was so well looked after. The food is pretty good too! This time I'm hoping to go to the birth centre 🤞🏻

I had my second baby at Dewsbury birth centre and it was lovely, would definitely recommend!

I visited Dewsbury Birth Centre and had planned to have my baby there, it looks amazing and staff were lovely. However, I had to be induced so couldn’t go. I have been for weighing appointments there. You can watch a video on YouTube it gives you a virtual tour x

Not actually given birth yet but the care I’ve received at Calderdale so far has been amazing 💘

Calderdale birth centre is beautiful

I’ve had both my children at Calderdale x
