supppppwrrr clingy toddler/child
my daughter turns three next week and she is so so attached to me. shes very independent and likes to do things on her own but its been nearly a month now where she doesnt allow me to go to the toilet by myself, not allowed to sit on a separate sofa, she is literally like a shadow stuck to me. if she needs the potty she won’t let me leave and wait outside, she will say nooo i want mummy…. its the same with her dad when he’s back home after work he would be carrying her and she would cry she ‘wants daddy’ 😕😕😕 im worried because shes due to start nursery next term and if she carries on like this i don’t think it will be a smooth transition

My 3 year old been like this too, started pre school start of January and his separation anxiety got bit worst. However, he is settling really well in pre school, we just have crying when I am leaving. But at home he will not leave my side and makes it difficult to do jobs or go bathroom when you need to, but lots of reassurance, cuddles and patience as they little only once :) xx

My little girl is like this and she's 14 months if she sees me leave the room she will scream and none can calm her down until I get to her. It's driving me crazy. Because I get no break at all I'm literally with her every minute of the day until she goes to bed 😅
