@Hannah thank you that was this morning since then he wanting to always walk supported and this evening he just walking around with support don’t know if it’s normal
No it would be absolutely months . My boy probably did this for 5 months before walking
Be careful, their hips and joints are not ready to support his weight yet. Best not to encourage this so early. Even 8 months is slightly too soon - told by a phd paediatric physiotherapist xx
Our little girl will do this if you hold her hands, she’s not crawling yet and we’re convinced she’s going to walk soon but I don’t think it means that 😂 x
@Evelina heya I am always careful don’t do it often or for long periods but then he gets frustrated when I don’t let him pull himself up but anytime I hold his hands he does this, he been crawling since 4/5 months old but I agree with you and always careful with him
@Jade ahh thank you I was worrying about getting safety gates etc
Ohh he is so small yet , usually boys starting to walk late...my daughter started walking by herself just before 1...and I think we helped her to walk with a support around 10 months , she is also not a tinny baby
@Nastia yeah he still tiny, I was confused when he did this didn’t know if he would walk early or late
@Laura yea...definitely, if I were you probably I would wait a bit longer...maybe just let him stand up by himself with a support , like holding along the table and sofa, this way his legs will be more trained...I did like this with my daughter and only after couple of months we walked holding her hands I did not force her to sit early, like other parents, she was quite big baby and I felt like it will be hard for her
@Laura aww that’s amazing. My cousin walked independently at 8 months. Honestly depends on the child. My boy is 7 months at the moment and pulling to stand on furniture and things but not quite taking steps
@Nastia thank you for your reply and I will start doing this and we never trained him to do anything we just follow his cues, xx
@Hannah aww that’s amazing we jsut follow his cues and he does pull to stand as well and that’s amazing, my little boy is 7 and a half months as born on 29th May 2024 and it’s amazing how fast they learn and want to do things
there are babies around the world and kids who learnt to walk at 7 months. if they’re ready at the end of the day, then they’re ready!!! how else are you meant to prepare their little bones otherwise … i encouraged a lot of leg movement from maybe 4 months. my daughter crawled at 9 ish months and walked at 1. a walker would be a great idea to introduce him to it given he’s around 7-8 months. this is a milestone for him. let him go! with them little chunky legs 😂😍
Some babies walk - very healthily - from 6 months. I’ve seen it myself. Not just 1 or 2 steps. Full on walking. If I hadn’t seen it myself, I may have been sceptical, but it definitely happens.

Awwww. Bless. Yea this is happening with us too since 7 months. It’s so lovely to see. My little one likes standing in his cot and peeping at us 😂😂😂
@Sam aww thank you that’s what I thought of he wants too why stop him he is a little chunk and it’s just seems he growing up too fast and bless her that’s amazing though xxx
Mines been doing this since 5 months he’s now 8.5 months and still the same x
My nearly 8 month old does this also, has for a while and is crawling and pulling him self up on the sofa and trying his best to get along the sofa while holding on! I think could be signs for an early walker
So cute, from what I can see baby is moving naturally and not forced movement👏👏👏. All babies are different and should be encouraged when showing signs of new milestones and developments. My first walked confidently unaided at 10months.
@Lilian thank you I just followed his cues and bless all babies are amazing and unique it was just crazy it’s like it happened over night
@Lola aww glad my little boy not the only one hence why me and my partner are thinking a push walker type thing as he gotten confident
@Elena aww bless glad I have time it’s just amazing what did you do to help?
@Laura I mean he pulls himself up on the furniture now and walks side ways haha x
@Elena aww that’s adorable there growing up too fast
Aww wow look at him go. 😍
